APPOINTMENT

REDS Building Services Consultants have been appointed to provide a retained consultancy role providing utility and infrastructure consultancy and performance specifications for residential towers, office development and retail units.

DESCRIPTION

A £55m mixed use development on the sea front comprising an Asda superstore, 280 residential units, 30,000ft² office development and a 40,000ft² leisure unit. Significant modifications to the existing utility networks is required to serve the development, including a new 6MVA primary substation, relocation of existing substations, relocation of a 400 dia gas main and the diversion of a 300 dia water trunk main. 10 No 8m high wind turbines provide renewable energy to the development. The enabling works for the development commenced on site in December 2007 with overall completion anticipated to be late 2010.
